Operational grant programmes are attractive as much as respected opportunity to get to interesting financial resources for your company development. Despite the statistics saying that small and medium-sized entreprises are applying for EU grants more and more, there are still many factors that complicate the process. On one hand there is a difficult administration and on other hand there is usually a wrong assumption that the application will be denied.

Specialized expositions and trade fairs (SVV) 2013 – 2014
CzechTrade Agency implements the project SVV 2013 – 2014 which started on May 16, 2013. The project focuses on raising a business readiness especially of small and medium-sized Czech enterprises on an international market.
The aim of the programme is to arrange a group attendance of Czech companies on a specialized international trade fairs and expositions in the years 2013 and 2014. Part of the programme will be around 30 trade fairs chosen in a second half of 2013 and 60 events chosen in the following year. The programme has a budget of more than 151 million Czech crowns. Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations (OPPI) – the programme is under Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic
Through this operational programme we use grant money for two projects – MARKETING and ITC in enterprises.
Marketing – the grant money for this programme is used for supporting international competitive ability of small and medium-sized enterprises through an individual participation in international trade fairs and expositions. Next, the money is used for presentation of the Czech Republic at specialized international trade fairs and expositions with individual Czech participation which is organized by Czech agency for support of trade (CzechTrade). Also it is used for support of alliance activities of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The aim of the program is to invest in infrastructure development, to expand and make better informing, education, assistance and advising services provided by the Czech agency for trade support. Also to maximize the synergy between CzechTrade Agency and a state service in an international trade sector.
ICT in companies – the aim of this program is to support competitive ability of small and medium-sized enterprises by teaching them to effectively use new information a communication technologies. By using the grant money to buy and master the new technologies in small and medium-sized enterprises will boost their economic growth. This program is under the Investment and Business Development Agency – CzechInvest, contributory organization of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
The Human Resources and Employment Operational Programme (HREOP) – the programme is under Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA)
Recently we have been using a grant money for Expert education for employees of the EXPOSALE-CZ company to improve the company’s competitive ability. The grant provides a regular expert training for 200 employees in total.
Actual trends in the events executors industry change rapidly. Usually in not more than two or three years time designs as well as special IT technologies become outdated. We need to monitor the trends and development in our segment carefully but also have to regularly educate ourselves, our colleagues and employees to keep updated. That is the only way to stay competitive not only at the Czech market, but on international level as well.
Internship Programmes
Recently we have worked with interesting business experts thanks to a grant Internship programme. We use money from the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Education for Competitivness Operational Program (ECOP). In a case that an intern proves successful, we offer them a job in our company afterwards.
